Kathryn Vandrey

Program Manager, East Asian Studies Center

Pronouns:
She/her
Kathryn is from California and lives in Bloomington with her wife and two cats. Kathryn holds a BA in Chinese Language and Culture with an Education Certification and an MA in East Asian Studies both from Indiana University. During this time she was one of the 2023 Distinguished Poly-IU-Glot recipients. Kathryn is currently pursuing a PhD in Chinese Thought from the IU Department of Religious Studies. Her research focus is on early Confucian epistemology. 

Kathryn was a teacher and administrator in the US and China before pursing her MA. She has experience with classroom teaching and curriculum building and will be working on NCTA projects within the center.
