EASC General Fund
Our general fund supports a rich array of EASC activities and programs and gives us the flexibility we need in a time of rising interest in East Asia to address unexpected opportunities. This fund, for example, helps us support our popular East Asian Colloquium public lecture series.
East Asian Research Fund
The heart of any great university is the partnership that exists between great teachers working with great students to create new knowledge. Your gift to the East Asian Research Fund will help us award grants that support scholarly activity, such as our conference travel grants for graduate students and publication subventions for faculty. Such support is crucial to our ability to enrich instruction, support research, and stimulate the professional growth of our faculty and graduate students.
Korean Program Fund
Gifts to this fund help us continue to build Indiana University’s Korean Studies program through support of our most important resource—our excellent students and faculty. By giving to this fund, you will be supporting our annual undergraduate excellence award in Korean Studies, our annual fellowship for a graduate student in Korean Studies, as well as conference travel grants for faculty and graduate students.
EASC Outreach Fund
From businesses to high schools to government agencies, knowledge about East Asia has never been in greater demand. Give to our outreach fund and you will be supporting activities that promote public awareness and enhance the teaching of East Asian cultures, societies, and languages. Our Japanese Pedagogy Workshops for K-16 Japanese teachers, among other programs, receives support from this fund.
