Please note that these awards are available only to full EASC members. Applicants are eligible to apply once during the fall cycle and once again during the spring cycle, each academic year.

EASC has annual book subvention funding set aside on a rolling deadline basis. We ask that interested faculty please submit the following list of items to Assistant Director Laura Judson (ljjudson@iu.edu), after which the executive committee will discuss and respond with an award amount.
We are delighted to establish this new Taiwan Studies Program travel grant to encourage and promote Taiwan Studies at Indiana University.
The Taiwan Studies Faculty Research Travel Grant is an annual research travel grant of USD $3,000 for one full-time IU faculty member to engage in Taiwan-related research.
EASC and the principal investigator in charge of the Taiwan Studies Program will jointly manage and award this grant annually from the 2023-24 academic year to the 2025-26 academic year.

The Indiana University Taiwan Studies Initiative, with the help of the East Asian Studies Center, is pleased to announce a new Course Development Grant (CDG) that aims to further education about Taiwan at IU Bloomington. This CDG will provide instructors with a grant to fund the development of courses related to Taiwan, totaling either 1) $1,000 for a revised course or 2) up to $2,000 for a new course.
This application opens on April 15, 2025, and is due on May 2, 2025. The award decision announcement will be made on May 16, 2025.
