Looking for real-world experience to put on your resume? Want to get the most of IU’s multi-cultural atmosphere and get involved in the East Asian community in Bloomington? EASC has just the opportunity for you.
Indiana University’s East Asian Studies Center has designed an unpaid internship program open to IU undergraduate and graduate students. EASC works to increase awareness of East Asia through community outreach and academic support. Each semester, EASC hosts numerous renowned scholars as part of its colloquium series. Additionally, EASC helps plan and orchestrate cultural events on the IU campus, hosting hundreds of attendees each year. As an EASC intern, you can:
- Be an integral part of organizing these and many more events
- Work alongside staff to plan and execute events.
- Gain real life work experience
- Have the opportunity to apply for a permenant staff position
- Have the opportunuty to gain IU credits
Both the hours and the duration of an internship can be arranged according to your schedule. Following the program, interns can consider applying for an EASC staff position.
Undergraduates are able to claim IU credit working as an intern.
