Moderated by veteran teacher Morgan McLaughlin, this asynchronous session will run for six weeks, beginning Monday Feb. 13 until Sunday Mar. 26, 2023. The books are The Dreams of Two yi-min by Margaret Pai, and Made in China by Anna Qu. Both explore the challenges and the generational differences that arise in families that leave Asia for the West. Those who complete the book reading and respond to the discussion online will receive a certificate of continuing education hours earned, and the cost of the books will be paid for by means of a stipend processed near the end of the session.
